"Nourishing the Soul" - The Seven Chakras

Just take a moment, to stop and think, and be aware of your inner emotions, and physical being. Have you ever wondered why? I didn't like the atmosphere, in the room. He or she made me feel uncomfortable. The atmosphere was electrifying. He, or she always makes me feel great. Can we make our selves, better people, be aware of our emotions, and others?

There is more to the body than meets the eye. As you approach another person, they maybe able to sense your presence before you touch them. That's because you have entered their "energy field" or aura, the invisible vibrations that radiate from our bodies. The stronger and healthier we are, the bigger and more expansive our aura; when we are tired or sick, this field is smaller and closer to the body. I like to understand this as a flower, which opens bright and beautiful, or closes like shy bud. Its important to try and keep a balance, to get through today's society.

The word chakra means "wheel" in Sanskrit, indicating that the Chakras are like spinning vortexes, receiving energy from the universe and transforming it to be utilized in the body.

In energy -based medicine, the first signs of ill health are believed to show up blockages or disturbances in the chakras. My interest lies in the emotional side of the chakra and how, and why people react towards each other, and knowing that 95% of use don't understand these emotions and take notice...

The Seven Chakras

There are seven major chakras, each having its own characteristics and correspondences. They are found at points that run up the body from the base of the spine to the top of the head, and can be located at the front and back of the body. Each Chakra is associated with different organs and systems of the body and with a different colour.

The base (at the base of the spine) related to the testies, and ovaries. The sacral (lower addomen) related to emotions and sensuality. The solar plexus (front of the body between the bottom of the ribcage and the navel) related to personal energy and power. The heart (halfway up the spine) related to unconditional love, compassion and friendship. The throat (base of the neck) relation to all forms of communication and self-expression. The third eye (in the middle of the fore head) related to development and deepening of intuition and soul knowledge. The crown (at the top of the head) related to higher consciousness and spirituality.

Understanding, and making use of your spiritual awareness and using it to nourish the soul, can be achieved. Just take that moment to accept, that inner emotion, and respond, to the chakras, hold your hands over the related chakra breathing into the hold and feel the your own energy, and find that balance.
